Transcripts
When you are admitted to The Morningstar Academy and after you register for
your courses, your transcript is started. A copy of your transcript will be
given at any time to parent’s who are fully paid for the year. There is a
$20.00 transcript fee.
Credits for your transcript can come from several sources:
1. Previous schools. In order for Morningstar to transfer credits for
courses taken at other institutions, we must receive a copy of the
transcript directly from the institution that granted the transcript. We are
unable to accept transcripts that come from the family. An “official
transcript” is defined as a document that signed by a school official and
bears an embossed corporate seal of the institution.
2. Previous homeschool evaluations written by a licensed teacher who has
reviewed the student’s work and deemed it to be appropriate and sufficient
for completion of the student’s grade level. A “homeschool evaluator” is
defined as a licensed teacher who signs an affidavit stating that he/she has
thoroughly evaluated the student’s work.
3. Homeschooling work.
4. Morningstar Academy course credits. All courses that are passed with a D
or higher receive credit on the student’s transcript. If a student is not
doing well in a course, you have the option of dropping that course any time
during the school year. There is a Course Change Fee of $25.00 for any adds
and drops.
