About Mimi Rothschild
Mimi Rothschild is the co-founder of The MorningStar Academy, a school dedicated to providing families with teacher-led home school curricula. A pioneer of online learning, Rothschild is leading the way towards new horizons in education.
Rothschild has been an outspoken critic of the public school system for decades. First, she believes that there is an agenda to secularize our nation and the public school system is doing its part to further that agenda. By teaching our children that evolution is fact and that homosexuality is healthy, among other untruths, the public school is defeating our nation from the inside out. She also believes that the academic standards of public schools have declined dramatically over the last few decades.
As a result, Rothschild chose to home school her eight children. She was a pioneering voice in the nascent home school world throughout the eighties and continues to criticize the public schools today. More than just pointing out its faults, she is offering alternatives.
Rothschild launched The MorningStar Academy in 2004 because she recognized that many Christian families would love to send their children to a private Christian school but are unable to do so due to financial limitations. By bringing the private school into the home, The MorningStar Academy would allow Christian students to receive home school curricula with help from a staff of professional teachers. Through online learning technology, Rothschild helped prove that public school isn’t the only way. Online learning in the home school is now sweeping the nation, and The MorningStar Academy is the leading provider of Christian online learning technology.
